Principal’s Message
Hello Families!
Wow, what an amazing school year we just wrapped up! As we anxiously wait for school grades to be finalized, I have no doubt that we will be very excited to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of the 2025-2026 school year! I am so proud of our students, staff, and community for striving for success on a daily basis. Discovery is an amazing school and I can’t wait to build off of the successes of last year as we enter this upcoming school year.
If you are a community member wondering if you should enroll your student at Discovery, I highly encourage you to answer with a “yes.” Our school has an amazing staff always making decisions that puts student success at the forefront of what we do. Although we aren’t perfect, our hearts are pure as we aim to create an environment that allows all students the opportunity to be successful. We do this by making our expectations clear to all students and community members, by being transparent with consequences (both positive and negative) for actions, and by holding all students and staff members to a high bar in terms of expectations and success. We strive daily for all staff members and students to display our “four pillars of success” which are being Prompt, Prepared, Polite, and Productive on a daily basis. When we accomplish this, we are successful.
I am very proud that Discovery will continue to offer many electives for our students. When enrolling at Discovery, your student will be able to chose from Band, Chorus, STEM, Piano, Drama/Theater, Visual Art, Spanish (7th and 8th grade), Orchestra, PE, and Health. At Discovery we believe that it is vital to educate the whole child by ensuring that all students are given the ability to explore various interests through our electives. Ontop of amazing electives, Discovery is competitive in Soccer, Volleyball, Flag Football, Basketball, Track, and Cross Country. We also offer a handful of after school activities to allow your student to stay active even after school hours.
