It was another amazing week at Discovery Intermediate! I have the privilege to walk classrooms and see the amazing things that your students are doing each and every day. I am so proud of the student engagement I am seeing this year along with the student preparedness with supplies and their computers. Please continue to reinforce our school Pillars at home; 1) Prompt, being on time to class 2) Prepared, always having their supplies and work 3) Polite, being respectful to others and to themselves 4) Productive, engaged in their schoolwork. Now that we have passed day 21, most of the caution tape has been taken down and I'm excited to announce that the students are doing great not walking on the grass. This week, you have the opportunity to join the Title I and SAC meeting on Thursday. Join us and give me input on how things are going, what things I should consider moving forward, and vote on approving funding for our PBIS initiative. PBIS is used every day to acknowledge students for making positive decisions and following our PBIS expectations. Part of our PBIS push is to recognize students for coming to school. Please join us in making sure that your student is attending school on a daily basis. If your student needs to be out, please be sure to send in an excuse note. Picture Day is 9/22/2025 and flyers are going home today. You can order online: mylifetouch.com and enter Picture ID: EVT2S873C
I can't express enough how much your students are a blessing to me and my team of leaders, teachers, and staff. Thank you for trusting us to provide your student with the best possible educational experience. The Poinciana Community is a special place and set of people and I'm so proud to be your student's school principal.
