We have made it to the end of the first quarter. Please continue to monitor your student's grades through your parent portal. If you do not have parent portal access, please call the school and speak to Ms. Lizmarie, my assistant. Moving into the second quarter, I want to be very clear about my expectations. All students MUST have their IDs on a lanyard and around their neck. All students that engage in play fighting/pushing/hitting/slapping will be suspended a minimum of three days. Students being removed from classrooms due to a disruption will be given a minimum of one day of ISS or if it warrants, OSS. If students can't follow cafeteria expectations, they will not eat in the cafe. If we, as a community, want to move OUR school forward academically, we can no longer tolerate constant interruptions to the learning environment. Students must understand that when they walk on OUR campus, they must follow our expectations and if they don't, consequences will be given. I believe that OUR students are more than capable of following our behavioral expectations and rising to our academic expectations. I need all stakeholders to understand that the success of a school directly impacts the success of a community. A successful school brings in businesses and housing which directly impacts the financial arena of the area. We need the school to be successful so our students are successful, so you are successful, so our community is successful.
Always reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or comments.
Mr. Dunn
