Week one of the second quarter has wrapped up. Do you know what your child's grades are? Do you know how many absences your students have? If you do not have access to Parent Portal, please reach out to my assistant, Ms. Lizmarie Rodriguez. She would love to help you get started on this amazing tool that helps you keep track of your student's progress. Even though we are still 3 quarters away from the end of the school year, it will go faster than you think it will. In middle school, students must pass all of the core academic classes and at least one elective with a minimum of 240 points in each class at the end of the year. To determine where your child stands, simply at the end of each quarter, add up the percentage grades . For example, if a student receives a 73 quarter one and an 80 quarter two...they are sitting at 153 points towards the 240. Please continue to monitor progress. Have a great week 2 and please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
