What an amazing first week back to school! It was great having students back and witnessing everyone following our expectations of being prompt, prepared, polite, and productive. I also want to thank all of our families for their patience with arrival and dismissal procedures. It was touchy at first, but yet, all of you treated me and the staff with the utmost respect as we navigated trying to get everyone through the traffic in our car loop and on San Miguel. A special shout out to all of our families that picked their students up in the car loop on Thursday. Did I ever expect that we would have not one, but two vehicles break down during dismissal...absolutely not. Again, all of you were patient, and treated everyone with respect. Thank you for being amazing representatives of this great community.
I wanted to just share a couple of reminders as we move into week 2:
- Please ensure that your student has their ID with them each and every day. Consequences have begun for those who do not have it. Lanyards were given, cheap lanyards. Please make sure that their ID is worn around their neck on any school appropriate lanyard.
- Computers: Please make sure that computers are charged overnight and brought to school each day ready for use. If you have any computer issues, please have your student reach out to a teacher. If you'd like to reach out, please reach out to Mr. Johnston, our AP that oversees our technology department.
- Please continue to make sure your student understands their schedule. Starting Monday, 8/17, we will be marking students tardy to class and consequences will be given for excessive tardies.
- Continue with the positivity. If you ever have any concerns or questions, please do not hold on to them. Please reach out to me and I will work my best with my team to assist.
Our first SAC Meeting will be on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Media Center at 5:30pm.
Again, thank you for an amazing start to the school year. I am so proud of my staff, our students, and our community. Best start ever!
