This upcoming week, the District is celebrating "College and Career Week."  This is a great time for our students to reflect and think about what their future plans are outside of the k12 experience.  If your child is participating, I ask that they follow these guidelines: Monday: students are able to wear college t-shirts, Tuesday:  students can wear camo, Wednesday: students can wear something they would wear in their future career (must be school appropriate),  Thursday: students can wear neon clothes, Friday: students can wear school spirit shirts.  Please remember that all other parts of the outfit must be in school uniforms.  For example, if a student is wearing a college shirt, the bottoms must be in the school uniform.

Continue to discuss with your students the importance of following our expectations of being prompt, prepared, polite, and productive.  It is essential for our students to be in their class on time, to be ready for learning, to be respectful, and to complete all tasks assigned by their teachers.  As we continue to push towards the holiday season, it is extremely important for our students to make the most out of each day to fully engage in what the teachers have created for them.  Classroom disruptions will not be tolerated, and students needing to be removed will be issues the most severe consequence that I can assign.  Moving Discovery to an "A" school from a "B" school will take all of the teachers, students, admin, and parents working together to ensure that Discovery is a place for students to come and learn.  When students come to school, their only priority is to learn and follow the expectations.  When our students have this mindset, they will be set up for success.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
